Caleffi launches a unique garden tap!
The anti-freeze safety device prevents ice build-up in domestic water circuits, thereby avoiding possible damage to water storages and pipes in domestic, solar and irrigation systems.
It is even unnecessary to close the water supply in winter.
Working principle
The garden tap is operated by a stainless steel lever and a special ball. A purpose-designed thermostatic element means the supply to the garden tap does not have to be shut off in the winter period, and water can be drawn off in outdoor temperatures up to -30°C.
At a water temperature of 3°C, the thermostatic element shrinks and the obturator opens. This way a tiny passage is created to drain out a minimum amount of water and water frost inside the pipe is prevented.
When the water temperature reaches 4°C again the obturator is closed and normal operation of the circuit resumes.
